Thevarajah Ganasan, affectionately known as Theva, is a prominent Malaysian Indian entrepreneur and business executive with an extensive background in the technology sector. Born on April 22, 1978, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, he has dedicated over 24 years to software product development and IT entrepreneurship, showcasing a remarkable ability to innovate and lead within the industry.
Thevarajah Ganasan’s educational foundation was laid at Saint Paul’s Institution (Paulion), where he completed his primary and secondary education. He furthered his studies with a diploma in Management Information Systems (MIS), equipping himself with the skills necessary to excel in the rapidly evolving tech landscape.
In 2016, Mr. Theva founded INDIAN.MY, a pioneering platform aimed at serving the Malaysian Indian community. Under his leadership, INDIAN.MY has flourished into a vital resource with impressive achievements, including 2.2 million website viewers and 35,000 registered members. The platform has successfully facilitated over 200 marriages and boasts 15,000 active bride-and-groom profiles, making it a trusted name in matrimonial services. Notably, it has introduced specialized matrimonial brands such as Dum Dum Matrimony, Dum Dum Kalyanam, and Dum Dum Wedding, further cementing its leadership in this sector. Additionally, with over 20,000 business users registered, Mr. Theva has created a significant space for business advertising and networking, with more than 17,000 free business ads users contributing to the national economy.
Alongside his entrepreneurial ventures, Mr. Theva also established DBH GROUP, further extending his influence in the technology and property sectors. His dual focus on IT and AI development demonstrates a versatile approach to business and community development.
In 2024, Mr. Theva is set to launch "Explore Hindu Temples in Malaysia," a new website (Aalayam) dedicated to showcasing the beauty and history of Hindu temples across the country. This initiative aims to provide virtual tours and insightful articles, enriching the cultural heritage and spiritual connection for Malaysians and visitors alike.
A firm believer in community service, Mr. Theva served with the Jabatan Pertahanan Awam (JPA3) from 1995 to 1999, where he was recognized with a Certificate in 2017 for his contributions. His dedication to civil services reflects his commitment to giving back to society.
Mr. Theva is an active member of various organizations, including the Negeri Sembilan Indian Entrepreneurs, where he has been a member since 2017, and the Negeri Sembilan Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry, where he also joined in the same year. In 2018, he received a Certificate of Membership, further solidifying his role as a key player in the business community.
Fluent in Tamil, Malay, and English, Mr. Theva’s communication skills have enabled him to connect with diverse audiences and foster relationships across cultural lines. Outside of his professional commitments, he enjoys jogging and playing football, activities that reflect his belief in maintaining a balanced and active lifestyle.
As a proud father of four and the second child in his family, Mr. Theva cherishes his role as a parent while honoring his heritage as a Malaysian of Indian descent.
